Wetek Play 2 not able to recover Android

lkavolkavo Posts: 3WeTek Community Member
Hi, I am having trouble recovering android. When I put the files needed on the sdcard and power on the device holding down the update button the splash screen will keep looping until I release the update button where it boots into OpenELEC. Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Follow these steps
    Format your sdcard
    You can use this tool
    https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

    Now download these files:
    https://mega.nz/#F!0xhjkThL!2JCAgXaZZfCbQXzNogheDQ

Extract it until you get 4 files listed like this (Do not need to be in the same order)

    .zip file
    dtb
    factory_update_param
    recovery

Copy them to a formatted (FAT32) SDcard

After you have copied the files to your SDcard, follow these steps:

Insert the SDcard with the files in your device.
    Power Off your device
    Disconnect your power supply.
Underneath your Device, you have an update button (Small Hole)
With the update nail provided in your package, press and hold that update button
While pressing, connect your power supply
Keep pressing the button for 10 more seconds.

After the 10 seconds, the installation will start automatically.

You can follow this video to help you apply the steps i mentioned above,

please help me. You say you do not work. There is only blue screen on TV, there is nothing else. That's what happened when I dropped from Android 6 to 5.

    Replied you here.

The device is not hard to recover.
This problem went this far due your own procedures and not wetek.

You have used customs roms and unofficial files to recover your device without any proper supervision or authorization by WeTek Support.

I upgraded the device to Android 6, but I noticed some issues. I dropped the android 5 on it. Now the device is not working. When you plug it into an electrical outlet, only the blue light on the power is lit. I try all the ways in the forum but the problem is not resolved. I do not know where I'm doing wrong.
